In the early 2000s the company was sold. However, a great-great grandson, Derick Springsteen Close, purchased and founded the Retail and Specialty Fabrics division known as Springs Creative Products Group, LLC (2007).
Because of Derick’s enthusiasm and early investments in Digital Printing equipment, the company was positioned to respond to its customers increasing demand for USA manufacturing solutions. Springs Digital, LLC (2024) offers low minimums, high-volume capacity, and quick turn shipments from a sustainable textile manufacturing footprint.
As one of the first full-scale Digital Textile Printing operations on the east coast, Springs quickly recognized a market opportunity for better, faster, more cost-effective upholstery solutions to service both domestic and import furniture manufacturing brands.
With the growth of digital printing, the company eventually split into Springs Digital, which now owns nine different digital print machines. The print operation is located in Fort Lawn, SC, in the recently revitalized Elliot-Springs plant. The company will concentrate efforts in digital textile innovation, growth, and expansion in printing technologies.
